Share What You Know

One of the great joys of the Shed is the free flow of knowledge between members. Our members range from retired engineers and IT professionals to complete beginners — and everyone teaches everyone.

We run informal skills sessions where experienced members demonstrate techniques, and members are always happy to lend a hand on each other's projects. If you have a skill to share, we'd love to have you along.

No Experience Needed

You don't need to know one end of a chisel from the other to join the Shed. Many of our members arrived never having used a power tool — and are now confidently running the CNC machine or designing parts for 3D printing.

The Shed is also a social space. The kettle is always on, and for many members the highlight of the session is the coffee break chat as much as the making.
